As leisure travel grew, companies such as Matson Lines required an ever-increasing amount of advertising, brochures, and collateral materials. Patterson & Sullivan
created illustrations for everything from shipboard menu covers to travel brochures. This was a wonderful opportunity for the artists to explore depicting exotic locals and
bright colored illustrations.
